The Opportunity
This position works out of our Woodridge, St. Paul, MN location for our Structural Heart business.
Structural Heart Business Mission: Why We Exist: Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease.
What You’ll Work On
The Group Lead will assist manufacturing management in achieving daily production schedules and quality goals. This role provides guidance and serves as a source of information for operators and support groups in the area. Responsibilities include coordinating documentation, training, contributing to performance appraisals, and adhering to the production schedule. The Group Lead is also responsible for communicating issues as they arise whether it be equipment or employee driven.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in coordinating production activity in assigned work areas, ensuring products are processed according to build schedules.
- Coordinate communication of work instructions to personnel in designated areas in line with supervisory objectives.
- Provide assistance in expediting priority products and tasks in assigned areas.
- Work directly with the Production Supervisor to ensure quality and production goals are met.
- Coach, train, and enhance the morale of manufacturing personnel.
- Motivate employees and build teams to support the plant’s policy of continuous improvement.
- Ensure the training of new manufacturing personnel; provide direct training to operators as required.
- Perform inspection of device DHRs to ensure all requirements are met and any defects encountered during processing are resolved prior to quality review.
- Ensure adherence to all procedures and maintenance of GMP requirements.
- Promote and ensure safe working practices.
- Provide input on performance appraisals, identify training needs, and support training plans.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent plus 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Ability to document technical information related to manufacturing incidents and nonconformances.
Experience / Background
- Minimum 2 years of business experience in a professional environment.
- Proficiency with multiple applications, preferably Microsoft Suite.
- Proven track record of delivering results.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to establish and maintain good working relationships.
- Experience operating in a 21 CFR 820 / ISO 13485 manufacturing environment.
