\nHigh Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. \nCampus Supervisor Requirements
\nMust present as courteous and professional at all times
\nDemonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks
\nMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion
\nProficient and knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPHAO`s electronic medical records
\nMust have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner
\nAn understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programs
\nAn understanding of boundaries and ethics
\nComply with Federal, 42 CFR Part 2, Substance Abuse Confidentiality and HIPAA Regulations
\nCertification in the HPHAO approved de-escalation program
\nFive to eight years of direct care experience is recommended, at least one of which that involves an acute and/or emergency medical unit, and at least one year on a psychiatric unit
\nSupervisory experience
\nAll requirements for a Registered Nurse
\nMust maintain and submit licensure/certificate necessary to perform the required position.
\nCPR certification

\nAble to be flexible with scheduling time and location in order to provide supervision/training as needed
\nCampus Supervisor Duties & Responsibilities
\nCompliance with DPH, DMH, Joint Commission, DEA and all other regulatory agencies as required
\nKnowledge of ASAM criteria
\nAssure patient care is meeting best practice standards
\nInsures safety of all patients in facility
\nAssure staff is in compliance with all Joint Commission, DPH, DMH governing regulations and payor guidelines
\nAssure staff compliance with High Point policies and procedures
\nParticipates in the training, and evaluation of staff as needed
\nAssist in training staff to develop staff competency in use of electronic medical record
\nActs as a liaison between staff and managers for program, dietary and office supplies for smooth operation of the program and notifies managers via phone of any issues or concerns needing follow-up
\nBegins shift by visiting every unit to determine staff attendance and acuity of the unit
\nResponds to all critical emergencies/codes to provide guidance, assess staff response and notify appropriate manager including events that require police intervention
\nAssures that staff completes and disseminates all appropriate internal and external incident reports
\nAssists infection control program and oversee compliance with OSHA requirements as needed
\nAssists in Infection Control trainings and chairs quarterly Infection Control Meetings
\nResponsible for the triaging staffing needs as needed on 3-11 shift in order to maintain adequate staffing patterns\\
\nRegularly makes rounds on all campus areas and programs including (inpatient, outpatient departments, dietary, housekeeping and maintenance) to ensure all staff are performing according to job description/responsibilities and patients are receiving optimum care, in all areas of service delivery
\nNotifies maintenance of any immediate safety issues
\nMeets regularly with the Nurse Managers/Program Directors to maintain consistency in practice
\nAttend mandatory training to update knowledge base and enhance both professional and personal growth
\nAssists in assessing Mock Codes as well as real codes as needed, for training recommendations and compliance with HPHAO regulations
\nProvides a daily detailed report of shift activity to Site Director, VP of Nursing, Director of Section 35 Services
\nIntervenes with staff for critical infractions and notifies appropriate supervisor for need of corrective actions
\nActs as a consultant to the staff when assistance is needed for behavioral issues;
\nNotify managers immediately if adequate staff is not on duty
\nOther duties as assigned by the Site Director/VP of Nurses and Senior Vice President of HPHAO to insure safe and appropriate operation of the facility.
