Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Contracts leadership role. We are looking for an experienced candidate to lead the Maneuvers Systems portfolio within the Precision Fires & Maneuvers Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) within Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS). This position will provide the necessary Contracts leadership of a growing $500M+ portfolio consisting of a growing Contracts team of 3+ professionals and complex contracting. This role will report directly to the Director, Contracts of the Precision Fires & Maneuvers SSBU.
This portfolio is currently comprised of U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Other Transaction Authority (OTA) contracting with opportunities for further growth. In this role, the successful candidate will have direct supervisory responsibility over 3+ Contracts Professionals, responsible for their growth and development, as well as leading the front-end assessments and strategy development, supporting the development and execution of sound capture and negotiations strategies, internal and external customer relationships, and ensuring contracting actions are proactively supportive of the business’s long range financial planning.
This role requires being co-located with the Maneuvers Portfolio team and therefore necessitates working onsite in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do
Effectively communicate with internal and external senior level customer to establish mutually beneficial relationships, resolve complex and multi-faceted problems, and influence business decisions; including advising of contractual rights and obligations and means to mitigate business, contractual, and/ or program risks
Strong aptitude for contract negotiations; ability to understand the financial aspects for overall business interests - contracts and other business arrangements; ability to contribute to strategy regarding growth paths and creative solutions
Some travel required, approximately 20% to Washington DC metro area, Huntsville, AL, and other locations as required
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
Experience in U.S. Government Contracts management or administration under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) / Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS)
Experience in the leadership and/or development of Contracts professionals, which may include direct supervisory responsibility, coaching, mentoring, and/ or teaching

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
