We’re looking for a Field Service Manager in Lakewood, CA, to lead our Radio Technology Solutions team. You’ll drive customer excellence, reliability, and operational transformation by managing the team that installs and maintains essential aviation communication infrastructure.

What YOU will do:

• Lead a cross-functional team of Field Service Technicians, Administrative Support staff, and Contractors to ensure timely maintenance of ARINC-owned and customer-owned radio and ground communication systems.
• Ensure your team meets critical Service Level Agreements (SLAs), keeping vital aviation communication channels active and uninterrupted.
• Act as the primary liaison for customers—both internal and external—quickly resolving issues and building long-term relationships.
• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the Lakewood, CA Maintenance Center, identifying new business opportunities in the region.
• Implement and oversee operational efficiency initiatives, supporting company-wide programs and technology upgrades.
• Manage the unit’s budget, staffing, and inventory, ensuring all work and billing records are accurate and compliant.

Qualifications You Must Have:

•  Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

• Prior experience in radio and/or data communication technologies

 

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience managing customer relationships and field service operations
• Prior supervisory or project leadership experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to motivate and lead teams
• Self-starter with outstanding time management and organizational skills
• FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) certification is a plus

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
