Job Overview
The Senior Regulatory Policy Analyst position will research, analyze, and report on federal and state regulatory changes in the health care system with impact to AltaMed, including Medi-Cal, Medicare Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and Medicaid Managed Care. The position will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, and strengthening AltaMed’s regulatory policy infrastructure, platform, and strategy at the state and local level, including, but not limited to, statutory and regulatory obligations with various state and federal agencies. The role will be responsible for tracking the release of regulatory actions, including Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), requests for information (RFI), proposed rules, policy letters, and final rulemaking. This will include the completion of detailed regulatory and policy impact analyses and the development of comment letters, as needed, in consultation with AltaMed subject matter experts (SMEs). This position will interact with AltaMed’s leadership and departmental SMEs, legal, and state and federal regulatory agencies as needed. This position will work closely with trade associations to interface with regulatory agencies, including but not limited to the U.S Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), California Health and Human Services Agency, Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), and the Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC). The Senior Regulatory Policy Analyst will also establish and maintain AltaMed’s relationships with regulatory agencies. This position will establish and manage a library of regulatory and policy analyses, comments, letters, and regulatory changes of impact to AltaMed’s programs and services. This position is also responsible for keeping leaders and SMEs apprised of regulatory policy changes as they occur and will serve as team lead for the Regulatory Compliance Committee. The employees’ gained expertise concerning ongoing changes to regulatory requirements by federal and state bodies will be utilized to support cross-departmental final rule implementation.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in health administration, public policy, health policy, business administration, liberal arts, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the area of regulatory affairs and policy analysis required.
Compensation
