Carnegie Mellon University’s Department of AI & Healthcare Supply Chains in Heinz College is searching for a Research Assistant to join Professor Wiberg and Professor Zhang's research team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing support for an industry-sponsored project focused on optimizing distributed healthcare supply chains using AI and analytics.
Core responsibilities include:
Help build machine learning models to predict regional healthcare needs and assist in designing optimization models for staffing and supply logistics.
Provide data analysis, model training/evaluation, simulation, and contribute to project reports.
Performs related duties as assigned.

You should demonstrate:
Strong communication and writing skills

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, Associate’s degree preferred
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
Research, data collection, and analysis experience
Requirements:
