About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Scrum Master to guide and facilitate our Agile teams. The Senior Scrum Master will be responsible for ensuring the effective application of Agile and Scrum principles, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and enhancing the team's productivity and efficiency while carrying the onus of the squad delivery.
What you'll do here:
Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Assist the product owner with maintaining a clear product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized and up-to-date.
Mentor and coach team members and other Scrum Masters in agile best practices and continuous improvement.
Identify, manage, and communicate cross-team dependencies.
Remove impediments and blockers to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
Foster an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Track and report on team progress using Agile metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
Facilitate communication across teams, facilitating negotiation and conflict resolution.
Support and enhance the Scrum framework within the organization and promote agile best practices.
Engage with other departments to align Agile processes and processes and ensure overall cohesion.
Very good Understanding KANBAN and XP practices.
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is required. Advanced certifications such as CSP-SM, PSM II/III are highly desirable.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
Have experience in IT software delivery management.
Proven experience leading multiple Agile teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with practical experience in their implementation.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
Bilingualism is a plus.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in scaling Agile practices in larger organizations (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
Background in software development or IT management.
Experience in sectors relevant to insurance is a plus.
Developer background will be an added advantage
