Senior DevOps Engineer (Active Active Architecture) at HW.Tech

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the transformation of a large-scale Conversational AI platform into a multi-region, active/active architecture. This is a high-impact, time-critical project requiring deep expertise in distributed systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a production-ready active/active multi-region platform within 12 weeks

• Ensure 99.95% uptime with RTO/RPO as close to zero as possible

• Implement cross-region failover and intelligent traffic routing

• Ensure seamless disaster recovery and business continuity

• Use open-source tools: Kubernetes, Percona MySQL, Cassandra, OpenSearch, Redis

• Collaborate closely with the core engineering team in the EU timezone

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years in DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering roles

• Proven track record with active/active, multi-region deployments

• Expert in Kubernetes (multi-cluster, multi-region), distributed systems, and network design

• Strong experience with multi-master databases, failover automation, and performance monitoring

• Ability to deliver under aggressive timelines without compromising quality

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar certifications

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure multi-region infrastructure

• Background in financial services or mission-critical systems

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) and service mesh (Istio, Linkerd)
