Job Description

Integres, partnering with the Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), is seeking an experienced PowerBuilder Developer to support, maintain, and enhance legacy PowerBuilder applications, as well as contribute to modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PowerBuilder, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with technical leads and business partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and fix defects in existing PowerBuilder applications

  • Implement application enhancements and perform routine maintenance

  • Conduct unit testing and support QA and UAT testing in accordance with MNIT procedures

  • Collaborate with MNIT and MDH teams using tools like Jira

  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and requirement analysis

  • Estimate effort and duration for development tasks

  • Manage source code, changes, and releases using Git and MNIT processes

  • Contribute to the Drinking Water Protection modernization project

  • Assist with future state Java application development as needed

  • Provide knowledge transfer to state staff

  • Attend team, planning, and stand-up meetings

  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in PowerBuilder application development

  • Proficiency with PL/SQL and Oracle relational databases

  • Experience using PFC class libraries

  • Familiarity with legacy client-server technologies (e.g., VB, Delphi, PowerBuilder)

  • Experience with Git for source control

  • Solid understanding of SQL CRUD operations and view creation

  • Ability to quickly learn and update legacy codebases

  • Exposure to JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue (preferred)
