Job description

Pursuant to section 656.10 of Title 20 of the Code of Federal Regulations (20 C.F.R. § 656.10), you are hereby notified that an Application for Permanent Employment Certification is being filed for the following position:

Permanent Employment Certification is being filed for the following position: Level Access seeks Accessibility Consultants in Arlington, VA.

Accessibility Consultants will work with clients to test and validate user interfaces against accessibility requirements and consult on the effective technical implementation of digital accessibility requirements in client systems. They will utilize their significant experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and strong verbal and written communication skills

• Test Set Definition – Accessibility Consultants will work with the client to determine the 
boundaries of the testing environment. The Accessibility Consultant will identify a 
representative test set of the user interface components found in the client’s system. 
• Testing – Accessibility Consultants will test client’s systems against specific manual tests 
and assistive technology tools. The Accessibility Consultant will enter test results into 
AMP (Accessibility Management Platform) – the industry’s first on-demand solution that 
integrates the business and technical aspects of complying with regulations, such as Section 
508, the ADA, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. 
• Reporting – Accessibility Consultants will deliver testing results to the client and will 
participate in conference calls and follow-up discussions in order to create a road map to 
improve the accessibility and usability of the client’s IT system. 
• Technical Consultation – Accessibility Consultants will consult with customers on the 
proper methods for implementing digital accessibility in systems. This will span a variety 
of web, mobile, hardware and document systems. 
• Business Process Consultation – Accessibility Consultants will work with customers to 
consult on the process implementation approach for accessibility in the client’s 
environment

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field plus 2 years of related experience. Requires 2 years of experience in the following: digital accessibility requirements; HTML; CSS; JavaScript; Client consultation; Manual testing; Verbal and written communication with clients. 100% telecommuting is permitted.

In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience, employer is willing to accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field plus any amount of related knowledge. Requires any amount of knowledge in the following: digital accessibility requirements; HTML; CSS; JavaScript; Client consultation; Manual testing; Verbal and written communication with clients. 100% telecommuting is permitted.

Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience. 40 hours/week, $86,175 per year.
