The Asian Pacific Clinic seeks a passionate and energetic Seasonal Recreation Specialist – Assistant Coach to join our multidisciplinary team in supporting youth mental health recovery through movement, mindfulness, and recreation. This part-time (up to 8 hours/week) seasonal role runs from July–August and focuses on engaging youth, many of whom are navigating serious mental health challenges, in soccer/futsal-based physical activities that foster confidence, resilience, and wellness. In collaboration with a Clinician and Health Navigator, the Assistant Coach will plan and lead activities, promote positive peer interactions, manage minor conflicts, and support overall recreational programming through our partnership with Aurora Public Schools. Candidates should have experience working with youth, a strong understanding of soccer/futsal, and the physical ability to lead warmups, run, kick, jump, and lift to 20 lbs.
Term-Limited Position. This is a part-time, seasonal role funded by the Aurora Public School grant & FUTSOL program for Afghan Youth, with an expected end date of August 31, 2025 (longer if the grant/funding extends).
Schedule. This position is fully Onsite/In-person at Futsol field for approximately 6-8 hours per week. The tentative schedule is Friday 4-5:30 plus post-debrief & Sunday 9-10:30 plus post-debrief (schedule subject to change).
Salary for this role.
Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *Rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency.
Employees will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis, equivalent to 10% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), with a maximum amount of $6,000.00 per calendar year. The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full-time equivalency (FTE).
