This is a remote position.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Digital Accessibility Tester to help ensure that our digital products and services are inclusive and accessible to users of all ages and abilities. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with designers, developers, and stakeholders to support accessibility initiatives, assess compliance with accessibility standards, and contribute to the creation of user-friendly, barrier-free experiences.
Conduct accessibility assessments and audits using a combination of automated tools and manual testing.
Support efforts to conform with WCAG 2.2 AA standards and other accessibility regulations.
Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure accessibility is built into all phases of the product lifecycle.
Outline actionable remediations for development teams to address accessibility issues.
Provide accessibility annotations in design tools like Figma.
Document test findings and present accessibility reports and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
Assist in developing internal accessibility strategies, standards, and training materials.
Stay updated on the latest accessibility regulations, tools, and best practices.
Engage with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to promote inclusive design and development practices.
Contribute to the creation of accessible templates, documentation, and resources for internal use.
Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written English skills.
Analytical and detail-oriented, with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Passionate about digital inclusion and accessibility.
Able to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
Comfortable providing feedback and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
2+ years of experience in digital accessibility or a related role.
1+ years of experience with CMS-based web development.
Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA and accessibility compliance requirements.
Hands-on experience with assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
Familiarity with automated accessibility testing tools (e.g., Deque, Siteimprove, UsableNet).
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and ability to inspect and analyze source code; experience with JavaScript is a plus.
Experience with accessibility annotations in Figma or similar design tools.
Previous experience working within cross-functional teams or digital agencies is a plus.
Relevant accessibility certifications (CPACC, WAS, etc.) are advantageous.
Familiarity with tools such as Airtable, Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Experience delivering client presentations and accessibility training.
Background in UX, content strategy, or front-end development.
Experience supporting enterprise or government digital projects.
