Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement archiving policies, standards, and procedures in line with legal and organizational requirements.

  • Organize, catalog, and maintain both physical and digital records using appropriate classification systems.

  • Assess historical documents, media, and electronic records for long-term preservation.

  • Ensure the secure storage, retrieval, and accessibility of archived materials.

  • Manage archival databases and metadata tagging to ensure efficient search and discovery.

  • Collaborate with departments to collect, appraise, and transfer records for archiving.

  • Digitize paper-based records and ensure proper digital file formats for preservation.

  • Conduct audits and reviews of archive collections to maintain integrity and compliance.

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to archived materials.

  • Stay up to date on industry best practices, regulations, and digital preservation technologies.
