Job description

Under supervision of the Manager Business Systems Infrastructure, the Oracle Analyst is responsible for Oracle ERP and providing ongoing business support for enhancements, issues, and data/configuration updates within the tool. This includes, but is not limited to, GL, AR, AP, Inventory, Manufacturing and Reporting modules.

This position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, along with experience in financial system support, project management, and report writing. The Oracle Analyst will be expected to analyze reoccurring issues and develop effective root cause solutions. They must demonstrate initiative and strategic thinking by proactively identifying improvement opportunities and recommending process optimizations to enhance operational efficiency and system performance.

The role works closely with Inmar’s Systems Implementer & Support Partner and plays a hands-on role with business teams during ERP deployment, training, and post-launch support.

Oracle ERP Administration, Configuration, Support, and Training. A proven working knowledge of ERP and Reporting systems (preferably Oracle) with experience in writing business requirements, documenting UAT processes, configuring master data, and creating complex reports. This position also contributes to ERP process integration during company acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and improve ERP process documentation, requirements, architectural diagrams, and enhancements roadmap

  • Direct engagement with Inmar’s Systems Support Partner during workshops and design sessions
  • Ensure high-quality ERP deployment through QA, UAT, and training activities
  • Design and administer business processes, changes, and updates, maintaining internal controls
  • Continuously build system knowledge through self-education and training
  • Conduct customized training for new hires and existing users
  • Serve as Tier 1 and Tier 2 support and coordinate with partners for Tier 3 issues
  • Analyze reoccurring issues, identify patterns and root causes, and implement sustainable solutions
  • Demonstrate initiative and strategic thinking to identify inefficiencies and recommend process optimizations and system enhancement

ERP Data Management and Reporting:

  • Provide reporting and ad hoc analysis using ERP and other data tools
  • Develop complex reports using SQL, ODBI, and Excel
  • Create and maintain executive dashboards for actionable business insights
  • Support planning and reporting functions for finance teams
  • Lead integration efforts for acquisitions including data analysis and migration strategy
  • Maintain system-wide data accuracy for reliable reporting
  • Proactively provide reports aligned with new initiatives

ERP Tool Development:

  • Lead implementation and training for ERP tools
  • Research and recommend new modules to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with IT to maintain ERP integrations
  • Write advanced SQL queries to support business needs

Special Project Management & Support:

  • Support cross-functional projects with process expertise and strategic input
  • Manage special initiatives and interdepartmental reporting/analysis
  • Lead user training and support across ERP systems

Education/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (technical or business preferred)

  • Oracle Cloud experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and business processes (5+ years)
  • Advanced knowledge of report building and SQL queries required (Oracle Smartview and Oracle ODBI experience preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, with emphasis on Excel)
  • GSuite experience preferred
  • Project Management experience (2+ years)
  • Financial analysis experience a plus
  • Proven ability to analyze reoccurring issues and identify root cause solutions
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and the ability to make proactive recommendations for system or process improvements
  • Experience leading or supporting process improvement initiatives across departments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to train and support cross-functional teams
