DUTIES:
- Create data pipelines to process the ingested data and perform Audit, Balance, and Control (ABC) and push data to the downstream AWS account using various AWS components such as S3, SNS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and Glue.
- Establish pipelines to load CDC data into Snowflake and establish connectivity to downstream teams.
- Establish the code repository using Python, Terraform, and AWS CloudFormation through AWS Code Commit.
- Create the CI/CD deployment pipelines using AWS Code Deploy and Code Pipeline.
- Migrate all the IAM from AWS CloudFormation to Terraform Code.
- Create AWS Code Build jobs for repeatable work such as testing out code changes in GIT branches using the automated pytest testing suite.
- Establish data pipelines to provide feeds to the Snowflake SQS that is currently being provisioned as the cloud-based Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- Establish the data ingestion pipelines from the legacy systems into the Enterprise Data Lake using AWS CLI, Coviant, Control M, and AWS SFTP.
- Create Glue jobs for parquet creation that provide queryable data for data analysts through AWS Athena.
- Resolve production issues and provide solutions on the fly for time-critical data loads using AWS Console or local Boto3 scripts.
- Generate reports for the data monitoring of the ingested data and also health check reports for the system using scheduled automated AWS Code Build jobs.
- Assist in establishing the data pipelines in GitLab for new projects.
- Assist in migrating the existing code repository from AWS Code commit to GitLab.
- Mentor the new resources in the team and lead the development efforts of the team.
- Position reports to Centene headquarters at 7700 Forsyth Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63105 and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 100% of the time. No additional national or international travel is anticipated.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related, or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position, and 4 years of relevant work experience.
- In addition, experience with the following skills is required: (1) Building complex systems using object-oriented Python programming; and architecting completely event-driven Python data pipelines using different AWS components including AWS S3, SQS, SNS, EC2, Kinesis, CloudWatch, and DynamoDB; (2) Building out CI/CD pipelines for end-to-end automation of a fast-paced, robust application development environment using AWS Code Commit and AWS Code Deploy; and experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines for faster release times and establishing appropriate business metrics to track success for CI/CD capability; (3) Building out cost-effective and performance-efficient AWS Lambdas for different use cases including meta collection, balance check, file checker, file monitoring, file routing, quota limits, and file validation; and experience orchestrating real-time application health monitoring and generating health reports using AWS Lambda; (4) Designing and implementing ETL processes, including creating mappings and transformations using tools with Informatica, to successfully convert the legacy mappings into AWS data pipelines; (5) Building out applications in Python for different business use cases and deploying them using different AWS components including AWS ECS and AWS ECR; and (6) Setting up AWS data pipelines that load different incremental data feeds seamlessly for different data warehouses including AWS Redshift and Teradata and troubleshoot ad hoc issues using AWS CLI.

WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week [8:00 am to 5:00 pm]
PAY RANGE: $146,104.77 to $186,800.00 per year
