As the Enterprise Architect - Venues, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise architecture for our Customer Technology Venues (Hotels) domain. As we transform technology and business processes to align to Endeavour’s goals, this role is key to bring it together for everything that enables the team, guiding the implementation of technology solutions that support the processes. You will play a key role in driving tech transformation, improving efficiency, and ensuring that technology investments deliver value to the organisation.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role

  • Be a key contributor to the Architecture peer group supporting the Customer Technology Venues Tower with their strategy and roadmap 
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture focusing on (but not limited to) the Venues Operations and encompassing business, information, application, and technology domains.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their objectives and ensure that technology strategies align with the goals.
  • Work together with Group Solution managers and business leaders to create and manage the roadmap that outlines the evolution of technology solutions to meet current and future business needs.
  • Work closely with Solution, Data, Technical architects to provide architectural guidance for projects and initiatives, ensuring that solutions are designed to be scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
  • Contribute to definition and enforcement of technology standards, best practices, and architectural principles to maintain consistency and quality across the organization.
  • Identify and mitigate technology risks, ensuring that security and compliance requirements are met. Work with Data Governance, Cyber security, Platform teams and Risk and Portfolio Offices to implement engagement processes to capture and track issues raised from assessments in project registers and risk register for delivered risk.with respect to the product/application designed.
  • Evaluate and select technology vendors and solutions that best fit the organization's needs, budget, and architecture.
  • Work closely with Customer teams, business units, and external partners to facilitate communication and collaboration on architecture-related matters.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of the enterprise architecture, including diagrams, models, and policies.

  • Educate and raise awareness among staff and stakeholders about the importance of adhering to enterprise architecture principles.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications (i.e. TOGAF)
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in IT architecture or related roles gained within Retail, Venues and preferably large, complex environments
  • Experience or background with Hotel technology - Point-of-Sale, Accommodation, Gaming platforms (EGM’s), Loyalty and ERP systems.
  • Strong business analysis and stakeholder engagement skills  
  • Exceptional communication skills coupled with an ability to negotiate and influence 
  • Proven ability to consult and provide advice to internal stakeholders
  • Experience collaborating with other domain architects to bring it together into an enterprise design.
  • Solid understanding in database design, including conceptualisation to database optimisation
  • Knowledge of data migration and engineering patterns over on-premise source systems and cloud-hosted platforms
