We’re looking for a hands-on Product Design Manager to lead design across key horizontal areas, including Acquisition & Growth, Design Systems, and Platform Experiences. You’ll manage a team of 3–4 talented designers, supporting their growth while also diving into the details to guide high-quality, impactful work. This role is ideal for a design leader who thrives in fast-paced, data-driven environments and enjoys blending people management with active design collaboration.
As part of the design leadership team, you’ll report to the Head of Design and work closely with Group Product Managers and Engineering Managers to shape product strategy and execution. You’ll also partner with teams across Marketing, Brand, Legal, Compliance, and Member Success to ensure cohesive, user-centered experiences across the product. This is a high-impact role that will help define how we scale design systems, drive member growth, and build consistent, thoughtful platform experiences.
Lead and Develop a High-Impact Design Team
Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 Product Designers, helping them grow their craft, confidence, and careers.
Act as a hands-on manager, coaching your team through the design process and ensuring high-quality execution.
Foster a collaborative, creative, and supportive team culture that values continuous learning and feedback.
Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape strategy, set OKRs, and influence roadmap priorities.
Translate product goals into clear design direction and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to bring them to life.
Ensure your team’s solutions are grounded in user needs, technically feasible, and aligned with business outcomes.
Design Execution & Quality
Guide the design of new features and product iterations that are intuitive, elegant, and scalable.
Ensure consistent use of our design system and a cohesive experience across different product areas and user types.
Maintain a high bar for usability, visual polish, and user-centric thinking in everything your team ships.
Champion the User and Leverage Insights
Gain a deep understanding of our members through customer journeys, behavioral data, and feedback.
Collaborate with researchers to uncover insights and turn them into meaningful design strategies.
Guide your team in rapidly prototyping, testing, and iterating on ideas—validating concepts directly with real users.
8+ years of product design experience
2+ years of product design management experience.
Lead by example: balance coaching and review with hands-on design work
Proven track record of shipping impactful products for large audiences.
Skilled across the whole product design cycle —defining strategy and user flows, conducting UX research, wireframes, prototypes, UI, QA, and post-launch iteration.
Strong visual design craft and deep practical knowledge of design tools, such as Figma.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent cross-functional communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a remote-first team across time zones and functions, collaborating with partners from Engineering, Product, Research, and other departments.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
Fintech experience
Design Experience in any of the following areas:
Growth
Mobile (iOS/Android)
AI Tools
Gig economy (products for “gig workers”)
