Collections Administrative Assistant - Court Team

We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our San Diego office is looking for a Collections Administrative Assistant to join our fast-paced Court team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will be responsible processing a high-volume of paperwork related to judicial enforcement of collection cases on a daily basis.

Compensation:

$22.00-$26.00/hourly, DOE

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare a high volume of court forms related to enforcement actions
  • Verbal and written communication with courts, sheriff departments, and various government agencies
  • Perform database research and calendaring
  • Perform electronic filing of legal documents to various courts, through multiple platforms, with accuracy and timeliness
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as needed

 

Qualifications:

 

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

 

  • Administrative assistant experience
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work and adjust priorities easily while operating against inflexible deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute
  • Ability to operate well both as a team player and on individual tasks
  • Ability to adapt to rapid changes in policies and procedures

 

The following qualifications are preferred:

 

  • Prior legal experience in post-judgment collections
  • Experience in Essential Forms
  • Experience communicating with court personnel
  • Previous rental housing industry or property management experience

 

Schedule:

 

Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday.

 

We currently offer a hybrid in-office remote work model for select positions within the Firm. New hire employees who are offered a hybrid schedule will complete their onboarding and training in-office as deemed necessary for the position by the firm before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to approval by their supervisor.
