Description

The Mobile Services Dispatcher is responsible for Selling, Dispatching, Communication of Workflow and following up on completed Mobile Repairs.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Accurately document the customer’s service requests.

Open Repair Orders, Review of Repair Orders, Posting of Repair Orders.

- Identify if the repair may be warrantable.

- Open estimates/repair orders showing time, cost, and labor estimates for service and contact customers for approval to do the repairs

Dispatch Mobile Technicians through the use of Decisiv, Mobile Phone and E-mail.

Advise customers about necessary service for routine maintenance.

Write brief but clear description of the problem on the repair order to help the technician locate the problem.

Look up Federal Recalls and Safety Checks.

Get written authorization from the customer to perform the requested repairs.

Contact customers about additional problems found and recommend corrective procedure.

Communicate schedules of Technicians, update repair status with Service Managers and Foreman.

Monitor repair progress to insure repairs are performed in a timely manner and status is updated in the Paccar Decisiv Platform.

Explain work performed and charges to the customer.

Audit upkeep and condition of mobile service units.

Submit required paperwork or documentation to Director of Service.

Attend scheduled service meetings.

Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Intermediate computer skills required
  • One year of related experience in commercial heavy-duty truck repairs preferred. Must possess a mechanical aptitude
  • Customer service experience
