This posting is for a PRN Pharmacy Technician position. 

Specific to Role as Pharmacy Technician:

  • Under Registered Pharmacist supervision, ethically and lawfully execute and complete Pharmacy Technician duties described in the Hospital Pharmacy Manual and duties mandated by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy.
  • Fill Medical Staff medication orders for Hospital and Medical Clinics patients, and prepare month-end account statements that relate to filling such orders.
  • Receive pharmaceutical products from external sources, and ensure appropriate invoice documentation for such products.
  • Ensure proper Department medication supply, and ensure that such supply is used or disposed prior to medication expiry.
  • Assist with monthly medication center inspection.
  • Additional Professional Development:
  • Maintain educational requirements for all required licensure and certification.
  • Attend professional conventions and in-services on current pharmacy topics.
  • Annually demonstrate competence in Department equipment operation.
  • Within practice scope, perform other duties assigned by Pharmacy Director and Clinical Pharmacists.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of principles that relate to the position
  • Aptitude in verbal and written communication, including ability to communicate with persons in all age groups
  • Possession of current Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician licensure by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy
  • Possession of current applicable certification and registration
  • Possession of United States proof of citizenship or right to work in the United States
  • Possession of a driver license or analogous identification
  • Willingness to participate in Hospital orientation and educational in-service
