Description

Manufactures good quality and safe products by supervising staff; organizing and monitoring work flow, and promoting a safe and extraordinary place to work.

Duties and responsibilities:

MUST be available to work ALL shifts and weekends

-Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

-Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.

-Responsible for obtaining positive results on production indicators such as efficiency, efficacy, labor efficiency, waste, and production downtime.

-Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

-Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

-Maintains safe and clean work environment by 5s program. Directs personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Implement lean manufacturing program to aid reduction of plant indicators.

Qualifications

- Must be able to work all shifts and available weekends

- Bachelor degree

- 2-3 years of experience in Production management

- Industry knowledge preferred

- HACCP Training

- High level of Integrity

- Meticulous attention to organized detail

- Good analytical thinking skills

- Knowledge of PC and Microsoft office applications

- Good verbal and written Communication skills

- Good knowledge in the implementation of policies & procedures

- Good planning, organizing, and integration skills

- Bi-lingual (english & spanish preferred)
