Job description

Intro
Welcome to Sanoptis - a leading network of modern eye clinics and ophthalmology practices with over 440 locations throughout Europe. Our vision is to improve the well-being and quality of life through first-class ophthalmologic treatment across the board. Our innovative decentralized model enables our partner locations to operate independently in order to focus on the individual needs of their patients. At the same time, they are part of a larger network with strong partners, which gives them synergy effects, state-of-the-art technology and many other benefits.

To drive our rapid growth, we are looking for a dedicated and entrepreneurial Regional Director (m/f/d) for the Eastern Germany region who will play a key role in taking Sanoptis to the next level in this region. If you have an entrepreneurial mindset, are hands-on, can turn ideas into action and are passionate about healthcare, especially ophthalmology, we look forward to hearing from you.

Are you enthusiastic about strategic market development in your region - and do you turn ideas into real success? Then we should get to know each other.

This role involves strategic development, performance management and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your commitment to excellence will help achieve business goals, improve patient satisfaction and expand the growth of Sanoptis' presence in Eastern Germany.

Join our team as soon as possible as Regional Director - East (m/f/d).
In this role, you will
  • Oversee the overall management of the operations of our eye centers, including satellite centers and the development of strategic partnerships, ensuring compliance with Sanoptis policies, procedures and quality standards.
  • Provide regular and comprehensive reports to the Head of Operations and Head of Country. In doing so, you will provide our management with insights into center performance, successes and challenges and make actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead and develop your local teams of Commercial Directors to create a dynamic and inspiring working environment where talent is nurtured and driven to succeed.
  • Have regular contact with senior physicians to discuss current performance, potential issues and aspects related to physician succession (e.g. equity ownership). You will be responsible for building and maintaining close relationships with local physicians and facilitating their professional development and identifying opportunities for their career success (within our group).
  • Ensure the monitoring and analysis of operational performance metrics, patient satisfaction and financial indicators to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and achieve business objectives.
  • Formulating regional strategic plans in line with the overarching objectives of Sanoptis. Translate strategic objectives into initiatives and necessary adjustments for individual clinics and consistently evaluate progress.
  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in the region, including the establishment of local practice acquisitions.
  • Address the development and implementation of effective marketing and promotional strategies to increase patient volume and grow market share in close coordination with Sanoptis and the Group marketing team.
  • Ensure the monitoring of the financial performance of the clinics, including revenue, expenses and profitability. Working with the finance and accounting teams to develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts and cost control measures will be a key part of your job.
You will be successful if you have
  • Have a degree in business administration, healthcare management or a comparable qualification as a basis.
  • Comprehensive professional experience in a management position in the healthcare sector, ideally in the field of ophthalmology and clinic management or operations management. Alternatively, you have gained advanced experience in strategic project manageent, e.g. by working in a management consultancy.
  • Have sound knowledge in the areas of process optimization and patient management.
  • Have the ability to manage challenges in a dynamic and fast-growing environment. A strong entrepreneurial mindset, a hands-on approach and a reliable, meticulous and precise way of working with the ability to work reliably even in pressure and stressful situations complete this for us.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Can apply analytical thinking and problem solving skills, particularly in the areas of invoicing and financial analysis.
  • Have excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
  • You are business fluent in German and English (level: C1).
At Sanoptis you will find
  • Competitive Compensation: A highly competitive salary package complemented by an annual performance-based bonus tied to individual and company performance goals.
  • Autonomy and Creative Freedom: The opportunity to work independently and contribute comprehensively with innovative ideas thanks to flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes, thereby strengthening our organization.
  • Professional Development: Take advantage of opportunities for continuous learning and growth through training, online academies, workshops, and industry conferences.
  • Mental Health Support: Access to psychologists and mental health programs to promote a healthy work-life balance.
