Technical Sales Engineer – Data Security

Chicago and San Francisco – 100% Remote (Need to be in the vicinity)

Fulltime/Perm

$189K Base Salary, $270K OTE

 

Our client, a global leader in cloud-native data security, is hiring a remote Technical Sales Engineer. Their agentless solution secures data across multi-cloud and on-prem environments, with a focus on DSPM and DDR.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years in sales engineering or technical sales (cybersecurity or data management)
  • Deep understanding of data security principles
  • Strong experience with cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), including storage services (e.g., S3 buckets) and cloud data architectures
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (technical and non-technical audiences)
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks — a plus

 

Responsibilities

  • Bridge between sales and technical teams — help win deals and support implementation
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the sales cycle, from architecture reviews to deployment and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrate product capabilities and value to prospective clients
  • Collaborate with product teams to relay field insights and influence roadmap

Salary: $189,000 ($270K OTE)
