Job description

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a highly innovative, tech-savvy Operational Manager to join a growing company in the mental health industry in a part-time capacity, 3 to 5 hours per day. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially driven, solution-oriented professional with an entrepreneurial mindset—someone who thrives in dynamic, growing environments and is open to rolling up their sleeves to make a meaningful impact.

You will play a pivotal role in aligning / coordinating commercial, operational, and strategic functions to ensure the smooth execution of projects and business objectives. Ideal for someone who has run their own business or played a key role in building a company from the ground up, this role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to potentially grow with the business long-term.



Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate commercial operations across departments, ensuring alignment and seamless project execution.
  • Identify inefficiencies and proactively solve problems with scalable, tech-enabled solutions.
  • Work closely with the founder to develop operational strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate across sales, marketing, IT, and production teams to ensure clear communication and progress tracking.
  • Introduce and manage systems, tools, and workflows to improve productivity and transparency. (AI trends and tools)
  • Provide commercial input on new initiatives, pricing, partnerships, and go-to-market plans.
  • Serve as a bridge between strategic vision and execution—translating big ideas into actionable plans.
  • Monitor KPIs and ensure accountability across project stakeholders.
  • Be the “point of contact” for external business relationships.


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a commercial, operations, or strategy role within a growing organization.
  • Entrepreneurial background – ideally has run or helped build a business.
  • Highly tech-savvy and up to date with digital tools, project management platforms, and business systems – ideally Shopify, Mailchimp or Learning Management (LMS) systems or similar
  • Innovative and strategic thinker who thrives on solving complex challenges.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communicator, able to liaise confidently with stakeholders across all functions.
  • Strong commercial understanding and ability to see both the big picture and granular detail.
  • Open-minded, self-directed, and eager to learn and grow with the role.
  • Comfortable with flexible hours and working autonomously. (Initially will be working approximately 3-5 hours per day, dependent on new and ongoing projects)



Salary:

R 350 - R 370
