Job Description

The Re-Disclosure Specialist will handle all loan file initial disclosures and re-disclosures to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position will also issue all initial disclosures and re-disclosures.

 

Primary Job Duties:

  • Understanding the requirements for RESPA, TILA and MDIA regarding disclosing
  • Process all requests within 3 business days of application and valid change to ensure compliance with governance, policies, and procedures
  • Responsible for determining if re-disclosure is allowable
  • Review the daily pipeline and access each loan with a change of circumstance to determine whether a revised disclosure is required
  • Understanding the complexity of multiple states' requirements for taxes, transfer taxes, mortgage taxes, recording fees, and any state-required fees
  • Understanding of FHA loans
  • Managing expectations with Operations and Sales teams to stay within company turn times

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Must have 1 to 2 years of residential mortgage experience
  • Working knowledge of mortgage loan documents, loan origination and underwriting guidelines
  • Ability to prioritize requests within disclosure cabinets daily
  • Handles Adverse Actions scenarios, generating documents to issue to borrowers
  • Transfer of loan files
  • Fast Learner, fast worker, reliable and punctual, organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter and the ability to work on projects with limited supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
