Job description

About us

We are a fast-growing team on a mission to reimagine analytics and make data accessible to all.

The Count canvas combines the power of data notebooks with the collaborative workflow of digital whiteboards. We’re often referred to as the “Figma for data” because of the way Count transforms the way data teams work with the wider business through greater transparency and trust.

Since launching in September 2022 we have seen the canvas concept explode, with Count empowering some of Europe’s leading tech companies — including Cleo, BeautyPie, TooGoodToGo and Omnipresent — to revolutionise how their teams understand and work with data.

What you'll do

This is an opportunity for an exceptional data practitioner who loves data and creating inspiring content to join our small but mighty team. As our first Data Community Lead you’ll take the lead in showing current and prospective users the best of our platform.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Product examples: You’ll take the lead creating beautiful example canvases and templates that showcase all the ways our customers use Count.

  • Tutorials and demos: You’ll help build out an amazing repository of best practice and video tutorials to help our users improve their skills.

  • User community: You’ll be an active member of our user community, supporting users to make the most off Count and level up as data practitioners with AMA meetings, competitions or general encouragement.

We'd love to hear from you if you:
  • 5+ years of data analyst experience with excellent analytical skills and extensive experience with SQL and Python.

    • Bonus points for having both data and customer/product experience

  • Have strong content skills, with a love for story-telling and a good eye for design.

    • Bonus for video content experience

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, and a skill for building rapport with people.

  • Are a natural team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing and engineering.

  • Have a high level of self-motivation and resilience, with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced startup environment.

Our interview process will cover:
  • An initial conversation so you can ask any questions you have about Count and we can learn more about your experience and interests

  • A working session with our team

  • A final meeting with our founders & wider team

The working session and final meeting will take place either virtually or in London, depending on where you're based.

Life at Count

Count is a remote-first company. Most of our team is based in the UK and we use a co-working space in London as base to collaborate sometimes. However we believe great work can happen anywhere and we’re happy to consider candidates from elsewhere in Europe.

Our work is important to us, and we know we work best when we actively maintain a good work-life balance. We're backed by some of Europe's best investors allowing us to offer a competitive employment package. Some of the benefits of working at Count include:

  • Competitive salary, pension and share options

  • Flexible working hours

  • 28 days of holiday (plus public holidays)

  • Private health care

  • Generous parental leave

  • An annual working from home allowance and co-working budget

  • Quarterly meetups with the team to relax and brainstorm, each time in a different city

We're committed to building a diverse team. Whatever your race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status or disability, we want to hear from you.
