At Spectarium, we craft worlds brimming with mystery, magic, and wonder. Our mission is to build unforgettable gameplay experiences through compelling storytelling, imaginative art, and thoughtful design. We’re currently deep into the development of a stylised fantasy title, and we’re searching for a Senior Concept Artist to help shape the visual soul of our characters and occasionally breathe life into our environments.

As a Senior Concept Artist, you’ll be at the forefront of our visual development team, creating distinctive, stylised character concepts that resonate with players. You’ll collaborate closely with our art team and Game Designers to establish compelling visual identities that support gameplay, lore, and mood. While characters are your main focus, you’ll also contribute to environment concepting when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create character concepts from ideation to final presentation: humanoids, creatures, and stylised silhouettes
  • Design armor sets, items, and props that reflect world lore and character backstories
  • Create environment and mood key art when needed — helping flesh out biomes, structures
  • Work cross-functionally with 3D artists to ensure concepts translate well into production models
  • Mentor and guide junior artists 
  • Participate in team critiques, concept iterations, and brainstorming sessions with openness and clarity

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a concept art role within the game industry, with a strong focus on character design.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates stylised, fantasy-driven characters with strong visual storytelling, demonstrating an excellent grasp of anatomy, gesture, shape language, and color theory.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software
  • Strong communicator with the ability to give and receive feedback constructively.
  • Willingness to travel for offsite workshops

Nice-to-Have
  • Experience in 3D tools such as ZBrush or Blender
  • Familiarity with Unity
  • Passion for fantasy media — from folklore and RPGs to modern fantasy games.
