We are seeking a PAEA Associate to work alongside a passionate team of professionals in delivering meaningful, person-centered activities. This position is ideal for someone who is creative, compassionate, and committed to using the arts as a tool for healing and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the PAEA Team Leader/Coordinator to lead music, art, or sensory-based activities tailored to each individual's needs and interests.
  • Facilitate group and individual experiences such as singing, instrumental music, art-making, sensory sessions, museum visits, and more.
  • Provide instruction in vocal, instrumental, artistic, or sensory techniques, and support individuals in self-expression and emotional awareness.
  • Collect and analyze data on participant progress, preparing session notes and monthly updates in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Offer administrative support to the PAEA team.
  • Provide private lessons in a chosen artistic discipline, supporting skill development and confidence.
  • Attend relevant trainings and meetings, follow all agency policies and ethical standards, and uphold state mental health regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in music/art therapy, music/art education, human services field or equivalent combination of related education, training and experience. Must demonstrate musicianship on a variety of musical instruments, must demonstrate accomplished artistic skill in a variety of mediums; minimum of 2 years’ experience providing services to persons of varying ages, needs and disabilities.
