Financial Counselor

Full-Time | Remote Eligible or Brentwood, TN Hybrid | Healthcare Revenue Cycl

At IVX Health, we believe that exceptional care starts with exceptional people—and we’re looking for a Financial Counselor who combines empathy, tech-savviness, and healthcare finance expertise to support our growing patient population.

This role is more than patient billing—it’s about navigating the complexities of chronic care coverage, helping patients understand their benefits, and guiding them through financial assistance programs with clarity and compassion. If you're a confident communicator, love solving problems, and thrive in a fast-paced digital environment, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Discuss insurance coverage with patients, including coinsurance, copays, and deductibles.
  • Provide balance estimates and explain financial obligations in a clear, approachable way.
  • Identify and enroll eligible patients in copay assistance or foundation-based financial aid programs.
  • Complete and manage applications through platforms like AssistPoint and various payer/foundation portals.
  • Coordinate payment arrangements pre- and post-treatment.
  • Accurately document all financial communications in systems such as the EMR, practice management platform, and internal tools.
  • Collaborate closely with both clinical and billing teams to ensure a seamless patient experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Remote-readiness is essential: You’ve worked in a remote healthcare role and are confident using Microsoft Teams, Outlook, payer portals, and EHR platforms independently
  • Strong multitasking skills—you’re fluent in toggling between systems, troubleshooting, and managing your own workflow without constant direction
  • Experience in financial counseling, revenue cycle, or patient billing (infusion or specialty care is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills—empathetic yet clear when discussing costs, coverage, and expectations
  • A self-starter mindset with excellent organization and follow-through

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in billing, coding, or revenue cycle functions.
  • Prior experience working with financial assistance foundations or copay programs is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a remote or hybrid work environment a plus.

Benefits We Offer

  • Flexible work schedule that promotes a healthy work-life balance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Fertility and family-forming benefits
  • Company-paid life and AD&D insurance
  • Optional short-term/long-term disability, critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity coverage
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Charitable giving match + PTO for community involvement
  • Employee referral bonus program
