The Position: 

  • Full time, on-site, salaried, exempt position. NSI offers competitive pay based on qualifications and experience, plus opportunities for annual merit increases and bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with product development group to transition new products to production
  • Work with product engineering group to resolve manufacturing related quality issues.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and implement approved changes to reduce nonvalue adding activities.
  • Create, standardize, and document manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain and update engineering drawings and documents.
  • Work directly with vendors and part suppliers on quality and/or engineering related issues.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
  • Required: 3+ years of relevant work experience in a product development and manufacturing environment.

Required Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of analog electronics and electronic components.
  • Working knowledge of digital electronics.
  • Programming experience, preferably in Python
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building and troubleshooting electronic circuits.
  • Ability to identify technical issues and propose improvement plans.
  • Goal oriented, ability to self-direct and follow through on projects.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to create and modify mechanical engineering designs and drawings for components or fixtures, preferably with SolidWorks
  • PCB layout and design
  • Basic ERP knowledge, ability to create and maintain BOMs and work flows.
  • Leadership skills, ability to work with and lead manufacturing technicians.
