Role Name: QuickBooks Bookkeeper & Data Entry Specialist

Schedule:

  • Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm EST with 1 hour of unpaid break

Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled QuickBooks specialist to take ownership of our financial data management and streamline our accounting processes through smart automation and integration. This role offers the perfect blend of technical setup work and detailed financial management, where you’ll configure sophisticated bank integrations, manage daily financial operations, and collaborate directly with professional accountants. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our financial reporting is accurate, timely, and perfectly aligned with our tax preparation needs. Responsibilities
  • Set up and configure QuickBooks Online integration with multiple bank accounts using secure, direct connection methods
  • Implement automated bank transaction downloads while maintaining strict security protocols (no third-party access required)
  • Execute precise data entry of financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and external accounting professionals
  • Prepare and reconcile profit and loss statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate year-end financial processes and ensure seamless alignment with tax return preparation
  • Manage daily QuickBooks Online operations and troubleshoot any technical issues
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and support audit-ready record keeping
Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in QuickBooks Online setup, configuration, and daily management
  • Strong technical skills in bank account integrations and automated financial process setup
  • Exceptional attention to detail with proven data entry accuracy and speed
  • Experience collaborating with accounting professionals and understanding their workflow needs
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, particularly P&L preparation and reconciliation processes
  • Knowledge of year-end financial procedures and tax return coordination requirements
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and dedicated workspace for remote work
  • Flexibility to work during Eastern Time business hours with excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated professional who can work independently while maintaining regular communication with management
