Job Summary:

As a Customer Master Data Associate, you will work directly with Softchoice business functions and stakeholders to promote consistency, quality, integrity and standardization of master data across the entire organization. Your focus will be on creating and updating master data records in the appropriate systems in compliance with business policies, documented procedures and data quality requirements. You will also be engaged in supporting various aspects of the Master Data team’s operations including master data request process improvements, data incident management and data quality monitoring.   

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process master data requests in accordance with data governance policies and guidelines, within defined service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Handle customer onboarding, data entry, and maintenance based on master data policies
  • Create and update master data records in the appropriate systems
  • Assess the impact of master data changes on downstream systems and business processes
  • Validate inbound requests against established policies and guidelines
  • Participate in the development and documentation of data maintenance processes
  • Maintain clear, up-to-date statuses on requests and incidents
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with requestors
  • Evaluate systems and processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of master data creation
  • Ensure compliance with data management policies, processes, and SLAs, while maintaining high data accuracy and minimizing variability
  • Collaborate with master data governance teams and internal business partners to ensure data submissions comply with internal audit requirements
  • Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues, recommending process improvement opportunities
  • Apply fraud screening during account setup requests; flag problematic accounts and identify fraud patterns to inform process and system changes
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of processes and procedures to support ongoing audit requirements




Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma
  • 3+ years of related experience in master data management and data quality management
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with comfort and experience working with dataAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in data collection and manipulation
  • Strong understanding of Softchoice business processes and data requirements
  • Hands-on experience working with customer master data in SAP or a similar ERP system
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills
