Job Details

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a dynamic, goal-oriented leader to serve as Senior Project Manager for the Information Technology Division. This caregiver will be responsible for enabling and activating technology in Cleveland Clinic’s new construction spaces. 

 

The Senior Project Manager – Information Technology manages and provides guidance to the personnel responsible for the management of a portfolio of projects. This caregiver is responsible for enabling technology at new sites, vendor management, contractor coordination, and providing on-site support during go-live events. 

 

A caregiver in this role works remotely in Ohio, Florida or Nevada, from 8 a.m. -- 5 p.m.  

This position requires 25% travel throughout Northeast Ohio. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will: 

  • Lead and manage multiple complex or enterprise-wide projects using advanced concepts and tools. 

  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews. 

  • Prepare and complete action plans. Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. 

  • Resolve problems. 

  • Complete audits and identify trends. 

  • Determine system improvements and implement change. 

  • Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements. Prepare an annual budget. 

  • Schedule expenditures. 

  • Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions. 

  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests. 

  • Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. 

  • Accomplish human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees. 

  • Communicate job expectations by planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions and planning and reviewing compensation actions. 

  • Enforce policies and procedures. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field and seven years of experience leading projects/teams OR master’s degree and six years of experience 

  • Demonstrated ability to teach and coach less experienced team members in project management methodologies and tools 

  • Effective relationship building skills 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Master's degree 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or certificate is Project Management from an accredited college 

  • 5-10 years of experience managing IT infrastructure and construction projects in a healthcare setting 

  • Knowledge of infrastructure, including server setup, structured cabling, data center setup, clinical systems integration and compliance with HIPAA regulations 

  • Experience with operating room setups and expanding catheterization labs or imaging labs 

  • Workflow knowledge of Epic modules 

  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Projecto) 

  • Strong communication skills for coordination across IT, facilities and clinical teams

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.

  • May require periods of sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the health system to attend meetings.

  • Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.

  • Must have own transportation to travel to multiple sites.
