We are looking for a: Senior Oracle Finance Fusion Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Financials and deep understanding of financial processes within the shipping and logistics industry. This role will focus on leading finance transformation initiatives across LATAM operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and optimizing financial workflows specific to maritime and shipping operations.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Oracle Fusion Financials implementations and rollouts for LATAM-based shipping entities.
  • Configure and optimize Oracle modules including GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, and Expense Management with a focus on industry-specific use cases (e.g., vessel chartering, freight invoicing, demurrage, port fees).
  • Ensure compliance with LATAM statutory and tax regulations, including electronic invoicing, withholding taxes, and government reporting requirements.
  • Work with shipping operations teams to streamline finance processes such as revenue recognition, voyage cost allocation, asset tracking, and intercompany billing.
  • Collaborate with IT and offshore teams for data migration, custom developments, integrations (e.g., TMS, port systems), and reporting.
  • Serve as the finance subject matter expert (SME) for LATAM within a global transformation program.
  • Support UAT, training, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of functional designs and process flows.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Information Systems.
  • 8+ years of experience in Oracle Financials, with 3+ years in Oracle Fusion Cloud.
  • Industry experience in shipping, logistics, or maritime operations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of LATAM tax regulations, localizations, and reporting requirements.
  • Proven record of at least two full-cycle Oracle Cloud ERP implementations. Preferred with LATAM countries.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
  • Experience working in matrixed, global organizations.


Desired

  • Understanding of maritime accounting (e.g., voyage P&L, bunkering, port call cost tracking).
  • Familiarity with shipping-specific systems (e.g., ABS, Veson IMOS, TMS).
  • Experience integrating Oracle Cloud with freight management or port systems.
  • Oracle Cloud Financials Certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage client relationships.


Languages

  • Advanced Oral English.
  • Native Spanish.
