Paralegal – Fully Remote - Please note: In this role, you must be able to draft legal documents from scratch, without relying on templates.

Our team supports individuals dealing with debt and financial hardship, helping them navigate both legal and financial challenges.

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our remote legal team. This is an ideal role for someone with a background in collections, banking, bankrupcy or finance who also brings paralegal experience or certification. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and assisting in case preparation. Responsibilities include preparing various documents, organizing case files, and managing deadlines to ensure efficient case progression. As a Paralegal, you’ll play a key role in our litigation efforts and contribute to the successful resolution of legal matters with professionalism and attention to detail.

Schedule:

  • Mon–Wed: 9:30AM–6:00PM EST

  • Thurs: 9:00AM–6:00PM EST

  • Fri: 8:00AM–4:00PM EST

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft legal documents including discovery responses, oppositions to motions, and substitutions of attorney

  • Prepare legal templates for attorney review

  • Communicate with courts and opposing counsel to handle settlement documentation

  • Manage and track deadlines to ensure timely filings

  • Coordinate meetings, depositions, and hearings

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of paralegal experience (especially valuable if within financial services, collections, or consumer debt law)

  • Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field

  • Certified Paralegal preferred

  • Must know how to draft legal documents without a template

  • Experience handling sensitive or confidential financial/legal information

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with legal terminology, court procedures, and relevant financial regulations

  • Prior experience working in a remote setting with consistent internet and home office setup
