Forbes Health is looking for an associate staff writer with a background in digital content creation, writing, reporting and SEO best practices. The ideal candidate should have an interest in a range of health topics and the ability to break complex topics down in a digestible way.

At Forbes Health, we want to guide our readers to make smart, informed health decisions through best-ofs, product reviews, engaging content, both on- and off-site, and data-driven journalism. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering 3-5 pieces of well-researched and well-written health content per week, working within the Forbes Health editorial team.

Responsibilities:

• Write helpful, accurate and engaging how-tos, roundups, best-ofs, product reviews and product comparisons
• Consistently write and publish high-performing content that drives traffic and engagement, and update stories with timely information as needed 
• Brainstorm and generate story ideas, and coordinate with your editors and producers to bring them to life
• Work collaboratively with fellow writers and editorial leadership to ensure output meets Forbes Health’s quality standards, reporting to a Lead Editor
• Willingness to appear in video content a plus

Requirements:

• A portfolio that displays your writing proficiency and ability to tell compelling stories
• Ability to turn complex health topics into easily digestible snippets
• Creative vision that aligns with Forbes Health’s editorial tone, voice and vision
• Experience with SEO best practices preferred
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Nimble and open to quick changes in strategy
• Ability to work in a startup environment
