As an Engineering Manager, you’ll thrive at Dropbox if you love chasing impact, working through ambiguity, and developing a culture of innovation. The Core Sync team is responsible for one of the most critical components of Dropbox: our Sync Engine. This technology is at the heart of what makes Dropbox beloved by millions — enabling seamless, reliable file syncing across devices. Many teams at Dropbox run Services with on-call rotations, which entails being available for calls during both core and non-core business hours. If a team has an on-call rotation, all engineers on the team are expected to participate in the rotation as part of their employment. Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience, including 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams as an Engineering Manager
• Technical background in one or more of the following areas: file sync, file systems, desktop applications, client operating systems (Windows, macOS), distributed systems, C++, Rust
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics) or equivalent technical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building products, specifically for Desktop
• Demonstrated passion for solving customer problems
