Role: Ruby on Rails Developer
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 6 months+ (extendable)
Work Hours: IST
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Ruby code following best practices.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality features.
Optimize application performance for speed and scalability.
Conduct code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
Implement automated tests to ensure the reliability of applications.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience developing applications with Ruby on Rails.
Strong knowledge of Ruby and object-oriented programming principles.
Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.

Nice to Have

Experience with background job frameworks like Sidekiq, Resque, or Delayed Job.
Understanding of RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Heroku, or GCP.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and/or infrastructure-as-code tools is a plus.
