Job description

Essential Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and maintain Excel-based tools with advanced VBA to streamline data workflows and reporting.
  • Build and enhance SAS or data programs for claims repricing, rebate projections, and performance benchmarking.
  • Aggregate and manipulate pharmacy claims data from multiple PBM pricing products (e.g., CVS, Optum, Express Scripts).
  • Create dynamic, template-driven solutions to standardize outputs across varying account structures and formats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support rebate forecasting, contract modeling, and business strategy.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to data access, file locking, and macro compilation in data environments.
  • Maintain version control and documentation for reusable code libraries and analytical frameworks.
  • Design and implement QC checks to ensure data integrity throughout transformation pipelines.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis for internal leadership and external partners.
  • Focus on list management, ensuring that all lists for PBM pricing are accurate and up to date. Ability to analyze list changes and report out on significant differences between versions.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Public Health, Statistics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience data analytics experience, specific to Pharmacy / PBM industry.
  • Proficiency in SAS and Python, including macro development, data step processing, and Excel export/import automation.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VBA scripting and dynamic template design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience working with large datasets and multi-step processing pipelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Expertise in pharmacy claims data and PBM contract structures.
  • Experience with Jira or other ticket management systems for tracking analytical requests.
  • Working knowledge of Python, Snowflake, SQL, SAS or other database querying tools


Based on relevant market data and other factors, the anticipated hiring range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 annually. Final compensation rates will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations. This role is also short-term incentive eligible. Incentive amounts will vary by individual and business goals.
