This is a remote position.

Job Highlights: 

Contract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm and Friday from 8am to 12pm with a 20 minute paid break each shift.

Job Description
As a Legal Assistant in this thriving workers’ compensation law firm, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting attorneys and ensuring smooth client communication. Responsibilities
  • Provide crucial support to attorneys by managing case-related administrative tasks and follow-ups
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, communicating effectively in both English and Spanish via phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Coordinate and schedule client evaluations, expertly managing attorney calendars to optimize productivity
  • Utilize the firm’s case management system to track and complete assigned tasks efficiently
  • Prepare and organize legal documents with meticulous attention to detail, including handling necessary faxing
  • Maintain up-to-date and well-organized client files, ensuring all case information is accurate and easily accessible
  • Collaborate with insurance companies and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth case progression

Requirements
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe PDF, with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in the legal field and willingness to learn about workers’ compensation law
  • Experience with case management software is a plus, but not required
  • Comfortable working remotely while maintaining professional standards and productivity
