Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion Cloud General Ledger (GL) Consultant with 4+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion Financials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting Oracle GL solutions, including chart of accounts, ledger setups, journal processing, and financial reporting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and configure Oracle Fusion Cloud General Ledger functionalities.

  • Define and manage chart of accounts, legal entities, ledgers, and accounting hierarchies.

  • Design and support financial closing processes, journal entries, allocations, revaluations, and consolidations.

  • Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into system configurations.

  • Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and functional specifications.

  • Configure and troubleshoot Financial Reporting tools including OTBI, Smart View, and Financial Reporting Studio (FRS).

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and SOX requirements.

  • Provide production support, resolve issues, and participate in month-end and year-end close activities.

  • Assist with data migration, testing (SIT/UAT), and end-user training.


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials with deep expertise in the General Ledger module.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, period close processes, and intercompany transactions.

  • Experience in multi-currency, multi-ledger, and multi-entity environments.

  • Proficient in configuring chart of accounts, accounting calendars, and hierarchies.

  • Hands-on experience with OTBI, FRS, and Smart View.

  • Good understanding of integration points with AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Projects.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Oracle Certified Cloud Financials Consultant (General Ledger).

  • Experience in implementing Oracle Cloud Financials in global rollouts.

  • Familiarity with REST/SOAP web services for GL-related integrations.

  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
