Job description

Description

proteanTecs is a fast-paced, innovative start-up transforming how electronics reliability is achieved. In a world increasingly reliant on smart, connected devices, unexpected system failures are simply unacceptable — and we make sure they don’t happen.

Our cloud-based analytics platform combines data from proprietary chip-embedded Agents (IPs) with machine learning to predict faults before they lead to failures. We deliver deep system visibility and actionable insights to chip vendors, system vendors, and digital service providers — redefining how electronics are monitored, optimized, and maintained.

Founded by semiconductor veterans (including three Mellanox co-founders), proteanTecs is backed by leading global investors and driven by a mission to bring electronics into a new era of reliability and intelligence.

We are looking for a Senior Product Engineering Manager to lead a team of Product Engineers and serve as a strategic technical leader in customer-facing projects. This role is deeply rooted in data analytics; you’ll be working at the intersection of silicon, systems, and software to deliver high-value insights to customers.

If you have experience managing engineering teams, interfacing with customers, and turning post-silicon/system-level data into real-world improvements — this opportunity is for you.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years in IC/system product, test, or yield engineering, including deep post-silicon analytics experience.
  • 3+ years managing technical teams (4+ engineers) in a product, test, or yield environment.
  • Strong track record in data analysis and root-cause debugging at the system or silicon level.
  • Deep understanding of IC manufacturing, characterization, and qualification processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — especially in customer-facing situations.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in data analytics platforms (e.g., JMP, Python, or similar).
  • Experience in ATE test development or digital simulation tools (e.g., HSpice, PrimeTime)- advantage.
  • Background in silicon lifecycle management, reliability physics, or embedded monitoring.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms or ML-based analytical solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

  •  Lead and mentor a team of 4 Product Engineers focused on post-silicon and system-level data analysis.
  • Own technical success and customer satisfaction across multiple high-impact projects.
  • Drive integration of proteanTecs’ analytics platform within customer environments, bridging silicon, test, and system-level domains.
  • Collaborate with R&D and data science teams to develop, validate, and improve advanced analytics algorithms.
  • Troubleshoot complex silicon/system issues through data-driven insights.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (design, software, product) to influence roadmap and execution.
  • Act as a technical leader in customer onboarding, support, and ongoing engagement.
  • Champion continuous improvement across analytics workflows, tools, and methodologies.
