Imagine building an MMO world where millions of players can interact in the same persistent instance, shaping the lore as each day progresses.

Using Metagravity's underlying technology (which makes huge concurrency possible), this ground-breaking title will allow gameplay that has never before been possible.

In EDGE OF CHAOS, players will be presented with a persistent medieval fantasy world where they can choose to play however they want:

• They can form councils and found settlements that grow by attracting other players to join as citizens. As these settlements grow, armies can be formed and sent to conquer rival settlements.

• They could join a settlement and become an artisan creating in-game assets such as swords, armour and property. Each digital asset is secured on the blockchain and can be converted into real money.

• They could join an army or become an adventurer to slay monsters for quest rewards and valuable crafting reagents.

As the world progresses, the lore will be written; a citadel that has existed for a year conquered by another, a horde of AI malcontents wiping out half the map, an ogre slowly levelling up by wiping out small villages and becoming a legend in itself. Every decision shapes the world for everybody else.

We are now on the lookout for a Creative Director who will be responsible for bringing Edge of Chaos to life.

Who you are

As the Creative Director for Edge of Chaos, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the overall creative direction of the game. Collaborating with a talented team of designers, artists, writers, and software engineers, you will have the chance to bring your creative vision to life and produce a game that was previously impossible to make.

• you are an experienced video game creative executive and have already had experience as a creative director.

• You have successfully shipped a game on either the PC or console.

• You have extensive creative experience in the video game industry.

• You have a deep passion for MMOs and as well as games set in fantasy worlds (Baldurs Gate, Diablo etc)

• You have exceptional storytelling and narrative design skills, with the ability to create engaging and immersive worlds.

• Proficiency in industry-standard game development tools and software.

What you'll be doing

• Develop a clear and captivating creative vision for Edge of Chaos, leading the creation of the game's lore, themes, and gameplay mechanics.

• Utilise a new kind of core technology to create a totally new type of gameplay.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, providing guidance and feedback to ensure the game's creative vision is realized.

• Work closely with designers, artists, writers, and programmers to create the game assets and background lore.

• Communicate the creative direction to team members, stakeholders, and executives, ensuring a shared understanding and buy-in.

• Ensure that the game's visual and audio elements work harmoniously to create an immersive and authentic experience.

• Provide clear and constructive feedback to team members, encouraging their professional growth and ensuring alignment with the game's vision.

• Collaborate with the production team to establish project timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to deliver high-quality game content on time.
