Description

Assembler/Packer I- ASH

Position title: Assembler/Packer I- ASH

Reports to: Department Supervisor

Supervises: N/A


Position summary:

Performs manual labor along a production line as well as pack items in a timely manner utilizing the least amount of time, motion, materials and space as possible.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Place items in bag in a neat, organized manner.
  • Notify supervisor of any problems/concerns regarding item being packaged and when additional items are needed.
  • Place bar-code sticker on bag in proper location.

Marginal Job Functions

  • Assist other department personnel as time and knowledge permit.
  • Participate in training and meetings as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be able to work professionally as part of a team with other department employees.
  • Must be able to comprehend and perform duties using established work and safety procedures.
  • Must be able to sit over an 8 hour period.
  • Must be able to reach and pick up various size items.

Education and work experience:

  • On the job training provided.
