Principal Objective/Role Overview:

GW Community School Program in conjunction with Graham Windham Mental Health Program is seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician to work in our school-based program working with families, children in grades 6-8, and working closely with the school staff. The school is part of the Community School Renewal project and will include being part of a dynamic team comprised of the Director of Programs, a Family Coordinator, School Social Worker, as well as working closely with the school staff.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, outreach, intakes, individual, group and family therapy.
  • Provide push-ins and collaborative work with teachers, school-based support staff, students and families
  • Provide evidenced based treatment including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT).
  • Respond to student and family crises and provide de-escalation and support
  • Proactively work with school staff and faculty to case finding, monitoring, communication
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities to school faculty and partners
  • Complete documentation, progress notes and quarterly treatment plans in concurrently with clients and in accordance with OMH regulations.
  • Complete all responsibilities related to timely billing daily.
  • Perform off-site services where indicated, including home visits and hospitals
  • Attend and participate in supervision, staff meetings and training. 
Qualifications

Position Qualifications:

  • MSW with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children and families in a school based, residential setting; Limited permit eligible. 
  • Knowledge of trauma work, evidence-based treatments, and child welfare are a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Good quality computer and communication skills

 

Salary & Compensation:

  • Base Salary or Hourly Rate: $29.67/hour ($54,000.00/year)
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
