NFP offers an opportunity to provide meaningful care to underserved and marginalized patients in a Community Health setting, contributing to personal and professional satisfaction.

Essential Duties:

  • Obtain and document vital signs during patient encounters, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, pulse oximetry, height, weight, and pain level.
  • Establish reason for patient visit and chief compliant. Review medication list, allergies, pharmacy, and immunization record. Maintain patient flow to ensure timely visits with providers.
  • Follow up on provider requests post-exam, including dressing wounds, ear irrigations, blood pressure, administration of immunizations if applicable.
  • Routine maintenance of clinical equipment, including cleaning, sanitizing, and stocking examination rooms, medical supplies inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Completion of Medical Assistant Training Program
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification, OR ability to obtain within 12 months of employment
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience in Community Health setting preferred
  • Able to establish trust, demonstrate empathy and respect, and maintain effective relationships with individuals of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to speak second language fluently strongly preferred.
