Description

Position Title:  Little Bricks Team Leader 

Company:  Brick Bodies Health and Fitness 

Employment Status:  Part-time 

Location:  Timonium, MD 

Hours of Work:  15-20+ hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate program needs and responsibilities. 

Reports To:  General Manager / Assistant Manager 

 

Position Summary: 

The Little Bricks Team Leader (LBTL) is responsible for creating an exciting, nurturing, and safe environment where children want to come and parents feel confident leaving their child(ren). This role involves leading a team to deliver exceptional childcare experiences, implementing creative and engaging activities, and ensuring operational excellence in alignment with our core values. We are looking for an experienced professional who thrives on inspiring children and leading teams, with a background in childcare and management. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering a memorable experience for both children and parents and is committed to the mission of helping members feel comfortable. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Program Leadership and Development 

  • Create, implement and oversee dynamic, interactive, and educational activities that capture children's interest and promote their development. 
  • Foster an environment where creativity, fun, and safety are top priorities. 

Team Leadership and Management 

  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services. 
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to promote growth. 
  • Lead quarterly meetings to align team goals with departmental and organizational objectives. 

Operational Excellence 

  • Maintain compliance with safety, hygiene, and operational standards to ensure the highest level of care. 
  • Oversee budgeting and purchasing for supplies and activities, managing resources efficiently. 
  • Cover shifts when necessary to ensure uninterrupted operations. 

Member Engagement 

  • Build strong relationships with parents and children to understand their needs and expectations. 
  • Proactively resolve issues, exceed member expectations, and create a welcoming atmosphere. 
  • Assist in planning and executing club events to promote engagement and club visibility. 

 

 

What We're Looking For: 

Required Qualifications 

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in childcare and at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role. 
  • Certification: CPR/AED certification (required before employment starts). 
  • Skills: Strong communication, team management, organizational abilities, and creativity. 
  • Background: A clean background check is required. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proven experience creating innovative children's programs. 
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
