The Opportunity

At Sema4.ai, we're revolutionizing how enterprises process, understand, and act on complex documents using AI agents. We're seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive the future of document intelligence as a core capability of our Enterprise AI Agent platform. You'll own the document intelligence roadmap, defining and delivering AI-powered features that transform knowledge work.
We're looking for a seasoned product leader with 5+ years of experience in technical product management and a deep background in document processing technologies. You'll leverage your expertise to shape the architecture of our document processing pipelines, drive technical requirements, and serve as a trusted advisor to our enterprise customers.

Who You Are

• Document Processing Expert: You have deep knowledge of NLP, OCR, and document analysis technologies. You've scaled document processing solutions and know the intricacies of multi-page analysis, table extraction, and layout analysis.
• AI/ML Visionary: You're at the forefront of large language model applications, continuously driving improvements in accuracy and capabilities.
• Technical Leader: You can define architecture, drive technical requirements, and validate approaches. You speak the language of engineers and can dive deep into code when needed.
• Enterprise-Focused: You understand the unique challenges of enterprise software and can navigate complex customer requirements, security needs, and integration demands.
• Strategic Thinker: You can create compelling business cases, lead competitive analysis, and drive market positioning for new features.
• Customer Advocate: You engage directly with enterprise customers, transforming their needs into technical specifications and driving adoption of new capabilities.

What You’ll Do

• Own the document intelligence roadmap within the Sema4.ai platform, driving monthly planning and execution with engineering teams.
• Define the architecture for document processing pipelines and drive technical requirements for enterprise features.
• Lead the integration of new large language models and establish accuracy measurement standards.
• Engage with enterprise customers to capture requirements and serve as a technical advisor on document processing strategy.
• Create and own performance and scaling specifications, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Define API standards, security requirements, and integration architecture for enterprise systems.
• Lead competitive analysis and market positioning for document intelligence capabilities.
• Establish quality metrics and validation frameworks for document processing.
• Drive the creation of technical documentation standards and lead customer technical reviews.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of technical product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on document processing technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated success shipping enterprise AI/ML products, particularly in document intelligence.
• Strong programming experience in Python and proven expertise with SQL and data analysis.
• Deep knowledge of NLP and OCR technologies, with a track record of scaling document processing solutions.
• Significant experience with large language models and their applications in document processing.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
