Description

Proof of the Pudding is an award-winning catering company throughout the Southeast with a commitment to creating quality culinary concepts from scratch. This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, & more.

We are currently seeking Premium Servers for Mississippi State University (MSU), located in Starkville, MS to provide Strong Customer Service for all premium operations, including at Davis Wade Stadium (Football) and Dudy Noble Field (Baseball).

Mississippi State University is a large campus in the heart of Mississippi where the Bulldogs reign supreme. Football games bring in 65,000 fans and their new, top of the line baseball facility houses the 2021 College World Series Champions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the setting of suites, clubs, and buffets completely.
  • ​Must be able to set up for events, carry equipment, serve guests, and clean up at the conclusion of the event.
  • Quickly respond to guests needs.
  • Maintain proper dining experience and fulfilling customer needs.
  • Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
  • Knowledge of event menu items and their contents.
  • Responsible for setting buffet stations which may include décor.
  • Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques.
Performs other related duties, as required.        
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must live near or be willing to relocate to Starkville, MS

  • The ability to learn and adapt quickly

Work Environment

Uniform Requirements

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting 25 lbs and pushing 50 lbs.

Position Salary & Benefits:

  • Starting rate is $14/hour
  • This is considered a part-time hourly position. Scheduled will fluctuate based on business needs.
