Job description

Staff Analytics Engineer

We are looking for a Staff Analytics Engineer to join our growing Analytics Engineering team. In this role, you’ll take a technical leadership position, designing and building scalable, reliable, and high-performance data solutions that enable analytics, reporting, and business decision-making across the organization. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, mentor fellow engineers, and play a key role in shaping the long-term architecture of our data platform.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Design and build complex data pipelines, models, and platform architecture to support enterprise-scale analytics.
  • Lead advanced dimensional data modeling for complex reporting and analytics use cases.
  • Manage and administer dbt Cloud environments and data transformation workflows.
  • Optimize Snowflake performance, cost, scaling, and platform security.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support governed and reliable data deployments.
  • Mentor Analytics Engineers and Senior Analytics Engineers, growing technical depth across the team.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and leadership to align data solutions to business priorities.
  • Provide technical leadership, proactively driving system improvements and scalable solutions.

Required Skills/Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or equivalent roles.
  • Deep expertise in SQL, dimensional data modeling (Kimball), and large-scale data pipeline design.
  • 5+ years of experience in Snowflake (or Redshift, Databricks, BigQuery, etc.) with expertise including platform and query optimization, scaling, and advanced platform features.
  • Hands-on experience with dbt Cloud administration and multi-project architecture.
  • Experienced with version control, branching strategies, and pull request workflows using Git and GitHub.
  • Experienced in building CI/CD pipelines for data workflows (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated leadership in data pipeline quality and automated testing.
  • Proven mentorship and technical coaching experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with technical and business teams.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Pharmacy benefit and healthcare claims knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing, orchestration, and Snowpark-based transformations.
  • Certifications in dbt, Snowflake, AWS, or related platforms.
  • Experience with orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, etc.)
  • Knowledge of data ingestion tools (Fivetran, Stitch, Airbyte, Rivery, etc.)


Based on relevant market data and other factors, the anticipated hiring range for this role is $132,000 - $158,000 annually. Final compensation rates will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations. This role is also short-term incentive eligible. Incentive amounts will vary by individual and business goals.
